Now measuring Solana on Alpenglow

Know exactly when your transactions are final.

GLOWCLOCK is an independent finality monitor for Solana. We measure the real gap between a block being produced and being irreversible, so trading, payments and settlement teams can build on numbers instead of assumptions.

Use cases

Built for teams where seconds of uncertainty cost money.

Finality is the moment a transaction can no longer be reversed. Knowing it precisely changes how you design products on Solana.

Trading and market making

Decide when a fill is safe to hedge against. Replace conservative wait times with the finality you actually observe, and tighten risk windows with evidence.

Shorter exposure windows

Payments and checkout

Show customers a paid state only when it is irreversible. Tune confirmation UX to real network conditions instead of a fixed spinner.

Faster, safer receipts

Exchanges and bridges

Set deposit credit thresholds from measured finality. Monitor tip distance as an early signal when the network slows down.

Infrastructure and research

Benchmark RPC providers, validate protocol upgrades and keep an independent record of how finality behaves before and after Alpenglow.

How it works

Transparent measurement, no black boxes.

Every number comes from public data we sample ourselves. When something cannot be measured, we say so instead of guessing.

  1. 01

    We watch mainnet continuously

GLOWCLOCK reads processed, confirmed and finalized slots straight from Solana mainnet RPC, along with network performance samples, every second.

  2. 02

    We measure the gap

The distance between the newest block and the newest finalized block, converted to milliseconds using the live slot time, gives the finality lag you can rely on.

  3. 03

    You verify your own transactions

Paste any signature and see exactly when it landed, confirmed and finalized, compared with the network median. Share the result as a link.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is finality?

Finality is the point at which a transaction is permanently part of the chain and can no longer be reverted. On Solana it is reached after a block is rooted by the validator set.

What changed with Alpenglow?

Alpenglow is a consensus upgrade for Solana designed to significantly reduce the time to finality. GLOWCLOCK measures how the network actually behaves, live, so you can judge for yourself.

How accurate are the numbers?

They are observed from the RPC node timestamps we read, so they include network delay to our node and polling jitter. They are best used for comparison and trend, not as protocol-exact figures.

Do you need my wallet or private keys?

Never. Checking a transaction only needs a public signature. Optional wallet sign-in is read-only and never requests a transaction.

Put a real number on your transaction speed.

Paste a signature and see exactly how fast it finalized.
